Default Set

ClassBright Evaluate by default includes a custom set of criteria that covers three domains: Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professionalism. Within those domains are 10 categories that contain a total of 28 practices and 62 performance descriptors.

The Performance Levels within the Evaluation rubric in the system are then based on these Criteria.

These criteria were developed by a group of Alaskan teachers, parents, and administrators who met over the course of two school years to devise a new teacher evaluation instrument that was in compliance with new laws and that would fairly and objectively evaluate teachers in a manner that supported improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.

Creating Your District’s Custom Set

To customize your district’s own set of criteria to use, you can either:

1. Edit the default set, or
2. Input your own from scratch

Option 1 - Edit Default:

Click into a Criterion at whichever hierarchical level that you want to edit, and then click the Edit button in the top-right corner of the page. Click the Update Criterion button to save your work.

Option 2 - Input Own:
